Carberryi Anthias

Carberryi Anthias (Nemanthias carberryi) is a peaceful species that is reef-safe with caution, admired for its vibrant orange to reddish coloration, elongated fins, moderate size, and active schooling behavior. Males typically exhibit brighter, more intense coloration and longer, flowing dorsal and anal fins, while females and juveniles tend to be smaller with paler colors and less pronounced fins. They reach about 4 to 5 inches in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 75 gallons to accommodate their active swimming and social needs. Provide ample live rock for hiding spots and caves, open swimming space, and a well-established reef environment. Maintain stable water parameters with salinity around 1.020-1.025, temperature between 72-79°F, and pH in the range of 8.1-8.4. A secure lid is recommended since anthias are known jumpers. Their diet should consist of small meaty foods like mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, and quality pellets. With proper care, the Carberryi Anthias is a vibrant and engaging addition to marine aquariums.
