Caramel Gladiator/DaVinci Ocellaris Clownfish

The Caramel Gladiator/DaVinci Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) is a peaceful to semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe, admired for its stunning caramel-orange coloration, swirling white patterns, compact size, and unique designer features. Males typically remain smaller, less dominant, and display classic clownfish behaviors such as hosting and tending to the female, while females/juveniles begin life as males, with the dominant fish transitioning into a larger, often more territorial female. They reach about 3–4 inches in adulthood and should be housed in aquariums of at least 20–30 gallons, especially if kept in pairs. Provide a mix of live rock, sandbed, hiding spots, and open swimming space, along with stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temp ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4), and ensure a secure lid as these fish can occasionally jump. Their diet should consist of a varied mix of mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, quality pellets, flakes, and algae-based foods, which help maintain health and vibrant coloration. With proper care, this hardy and charismatic clownfish makes a standout addition to the marine aquarium.
