Candycane Femininus Wrasse

Candycane Feminine Wrasse (Anampses femininus) is a beautiful and extremely rare species, peaceful in temperament and considered reef-safe (though very small inverts may be at risk), known for its striking sexual color differences. Males develop a dark blue body with lighter blue scaling, while females show yellow bodies with horizontal blue stripes, becoming more blue toward the tail. Best kept in aquariums of at least 50 gallons, with fine sandy substrate for burying, plenty of rockwork for hiding, caves and crevices, and very stable water conditions. Its diet should include live foods like copepods or amphipods, frozen mysis or brine shrimp, and premium meaty pellets once acclimated. Maximum size reaches about 7 inches.

Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
