Canarytop Wrasse

Canarytop Wrasse (Halichoeres leucoxanthus) is a reef-safe, peaceful species that radiates sunshine in the tank. Its body is a glowing yellow on top and pearly white below, trimmed with small black ocelli on the dorsal fin and one near the tail as a juvenile or female; males develop more subtle facial lines and a mix of yellowish/greenish hues on the head as they mature. It only reaches about 4-5 inches adult size, but its color and active foraging make it punch far above its weight. Best kept in tanks of at least 50 gallons, ideally more, with plenty of live rock and crevices to explore, a deep fine sandbed for burying at night or when startled, very stable water parameters, and a tight lid—these wrasses are jumpers. Diet should be rich in small marine invertebrates: live or frozen mysis and brine shrimp, copepods, plus high-quality pellets to fill out nutrition.

Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
