Blueside Fairy Wrasse

Blueside Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura) is a reef-safe fish with a peaceful temperament that delivers vibrant color and constant activity in the aquarium. Males show bright blue flanks with yellow to red dorsal fins and a purple-colored head region; females and juveniles are more subdued, displaying softer tones and lighter blue along the sides. It grows to about 5-6 inches in mature specimens. Best kept in tanks of at least 90 gallons with plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing, a deep sandbed for burrowing, stable water parameters, and a tight lid since this wrasse is prone to jumping. Its diet should include frozen mysis and brine shrimp, live copepods, and high-quality pellets, with regular feedings to support its high activity and bright coloration.
