For size preference please add a note on your order and we will match your fish to your requested size. The Blood Orange Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris × Premnas biaculeatus) is a striking hybrid that combines the bright orange coloration of the Ocellaris Clownfish with the deep, bold tones of the Maroon Clownfish. This semi-aggressive species is considered reef-safe, making it an excellent choice for mixed reef aquariums. Admired for its vivid coloration, thick white banding, and unique hybrid appearance, the Blood Orange Clownfish stands out as both hardy and visually captivating.
Males generally remain smaller and less dominant, while females grow larger, more robust, and may become territorial as they mature. Adults typically reach 4–6 inches in length and should be kept in tanks of at least 30 gallons, though larger systems are recommended to reduce aggression and provide swimming space.
In the aquarium, provide live rock for grazing and hiding, open swimming areas, and a secure lid since clownfish can occasionally jump. Stable water parameters are essential: salinity 1.020–1.025, temperature 72–79°F, and pH 8.1–8.4.
Their diet should consist of a varied mix of frozen or live mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality pellets, and algae-based foods. With proper care, the Blood Orange Clownfish not only thrives but also becomes a standout addition to both beginner and advanced reef systems.

On request, we also send photos/videos after arrival at IA. Some species are import-to-order (3-10 business days). Many common species are already cleared or near the end of QT.
Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
