Blacker Ice Ocellaris Clownfish

Blacker Ice Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) is a peaceful to semi-aggressive species that is reef-safe, admired for its striking orange coloration with bold, irregular white “snowflake” patterns edged in black. This designer morph of the common clownfish is especially prized for its unique patterning and contrast.

Males typically remain smaller and may display more submissive behavior, while females (the dominant individuals in a pair) grow larger and can be more assertive, especially when guarding a territory. Juveniles usually start as males and may transition to female if needed.

They reach about 3–4 inches in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 20–30 gallons for a pair. Provide live rock for shelter, hiding spots, and moderate open swimming space, along with a secure lid since clownfish may jump.

    pH: 8.1–8.4

Their diet should consist of a varied mix of meaty foods (mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods), high-quality marine pellets or flakes, and occasional algae-based foods for balance.
