Black Ice Storm Ocellaris Clownfish, Bali Aquarich

The Black Ice Storm Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) is a peaceful species that is reef-safe, admired for its striking blue-white body, black accents, and vivid orange face and fins. This designer clownfish is prized for its unique storm-like patterning and vibrant coloration, making it a standout in reef aquariums.

Males typically remain smaller and more slender, while females/juveniles grow larger and more dominant within the group. They reach about 3–4 inches in adulthood and should be housed in aquariums of at least 20–30 gallons. Provide live rock for shelter, open swimming space, and anemones or corals (optional for hosting), along with stable water parameters (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temp ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4). A secure lid is recommended since clownfish, like many marine fish, can jump.

Their diet should consist of a variety of frozen mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality marine pellets, and occasional algae-based foods. With proper care, the Black Ice Storm Ocellaris Clownfish makes a hardy, colorful, and captivating addition to both beginner and advanced reef tanks.
