The Invertebrate Berghia Nudi (Berghia sp.) is a peaceful species that is reef-safe, admired for its delicate size, soft-bodied form, and unique role as a natural predator of nuisance Aiptasia anemones.

Males and females are not distinctly different, as Berghia are hermaphroditic, meaning each individual has both male and female reproductive organs. Juveniles are typically smaller, more translucent, and less vividly colored compared to adults.

They reach about 1–1.5 inches and should be housed in aquariums of at least 10 gallons. Provide live rock and hiding spots where they can hunt and move around safely. Stable water parameters are essential (salinity ~1.020–1.025, temp ~72–79°F, pH ~8.1–8.4).

Their diet should consist exclusively of Aiptasia anemones, which they consume with efficiency, making them a highly specialized biological control method for reef tanks. Because of this exclusive diet, they often do not survive long once the Aiptasia population is eliminated, unless transferred to another tank with a continued food supply.With proper care and a steady food source, this invertebrate makes a standout and functional addition to the aquarium, helping maintain a healthy reef environment.
