Angular Flasher Wrasse

Angular Flasher Wrasse (Paracheilinus angulatus) is a reef-safe, peaceful flasher wrasse famous for dramatic courtship displays and vivid, changing coloration. Males sport a brilliant red-orange body and head, accented by seven violet stripes along their sides and red, yellow, and green highlights on their fins; females are more subdued but still elegant. It reaches about 4 inches full size. Best kept in a tank of at least 40 gallons, with plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing, moderate flow, stable tropical marine water (SG ~1.020-1.025; temp ~75-82°F; pH ~8.1-8.4), and a secure lid since this species is a known jumper. Diet should be rich in meaty foods — frozen mysis and brine shrimp, copepods, fine marine preparations offered at least twice a day to bring out its full color and energy.
