For size preference please add a note on your order and we will match your fish to your requested size. The Allardi Clownfish (Amphiprion allardi) is a semi-aggressive species that is generally reef-safe with caution, admired for its striking coloration featuring a dark brown to black body with two bold white bars and bright yellow-orange fins and tail. This species is hardy, active, and often forms fascinating symbiotic relationships with anemones, making it a favorite among marine aquarists.
Males typically remain smaller and less dominant, while females grow larger, more robust, and assume dominance within the pair. Juveniles start small and will transition to male or female depending on social hierarchy.
Allardi Clownfish reach about 4.5–5 inches in adult size and should be housed in aquariums of at least 30 gallons, though larger systems (40–50+ gallons) are recommended for pairs or community setups. Their environment should provide live rock for shelter, open swimming space, and ideally a sandbed for a more natural habitat.

A secure lid is essential, as these fish are known to jump.
The diet of the Allardi Clownfish should consist of a varied mix, including mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, high-quality marine pellets, and algae-based foods. Offering small feedings 2–3 times daily helps ensure vibrant coloration and long-term health.
With proper care, the Allardi Clownfish makes a hardy, colorful, and captivating addition to both reef and fish-only aquariums.

On request, we also send photos/videos after arrival at IA. Some species are import-to-order (3-10 business days). Many common species are already cleared or near the end of QT.
Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
