Kenyan Coris Wrasse (Coris Cuvieri) is a large, semi-aggressive wrasse that is reef-safe with caution, especially toward small invertebrates. Juveniles are vivid orange-red with five white patches edged in black along the back; adults shift to a more muted orangey-brown body with green spotting on each scale, yellow and blue facial markings in males, and a greenish-white vertical stripe mid-body (absent in females). It reaches up to about 15 inches. Best kept in tanks of at least 150 gallons, with fine sand substrate for burrowing or sleeping, open swimming room, live rock for hiding and foraging, and a secure lid. Diet must be meaty and substantial—hard-shelled crustaceans, mollusks, sea urchins, frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and high-quality marine preparations.
