Abberant Koi Tang

Aberrant (Koi-) Tang (typically Zebrasoma scopas “koi” or aberrant forms) is one of the rarest, most coveted spectacle fishes you can own. With wildly unusual coloration—patches or blotches of white, yellow, maybe blue or pale tones breaking up the normal scopas brown/gray—it turns heads in any tank and often sells for top dollar in the collector’s market. Grows to about 8-10 inches as it matures. Best kept in large aquariums (125+ gallons) with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding, ample swimming room, stable water parameters, and a secure lid because tangs are jumpers. Diet should include plenty of marine algae/seaweed, supplemented with herbivore pellets/flakes, and occasional frozen mysis or brine shrimp for enrichment.

Several species will be import-to-order and may take anywhere from 3-10 business days to secure. Once your fish is secured, you will be notified, and the quarantine process will then begin.
