A proper tank setup includes a sandbed, plenty of live rock, hiding spots or caves, and open swimming areas, along with a secure lid to prevent jumping. Stable water parameters are essential, with salinity around 1.020–1.025, temperature between 72–79°F, and pH ranging from 8.1–8.4. The Panther Grouper is carnivorous and thrives on a diet of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, copepods, small fish, and high-quality marine pellets.
